Starcom: The U.S. Space Force was released in 1987.

It consisted of only one season of thirteen episodes. During the eighties, it was common that a toy line preceded the TV show. As was the case with Starcom.

Toy Line

A toy line preceded the series. It was an impressive range of toys and action figures. A unique feature of the toys was the magnets under the action figures’ feet and which activated devices on the vehicles. the range of toys was released by Coleco.

Conclusion

Starcom was created with the help of The Young Astronaut’s Council. This was an idea to create more interest in the NASA space program. The show had very poor ratings in North America and was canceled after 13 episodes. In the late nineties, DIC broadcasted a rerun of the show.
