Knight Rider
Knight Rider is an action television series. It was produced by Glen A. Larson.

Released by NBC from 1982 to 1986. The series ran over four seasons consisting of 90 episodes.
The Show
The show stars David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight. An unknown and lone vigilante, with an artificially intelligent and indestructible car called KITT.

When detective lieutenant Michael Arthur Long is shot in the face, the billionaire Wilton Knight (Basehart), steps in to give Michael a new life. Wilton is the head of an organization called FLAG (Foundation of law and Government). Michael is given a new identity as Micael Knight, a new field agent for FLAG. He is assigned to a state-of-the-art intelligent car called KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand).

Devon Miles (Edward Mulhare) heads the operation for FLAG and takes Michael and KITT under his wing. Working together to fight crime.

The chief technician working on KITT was Dr. Bonnie Barstow (Patricia McPherson). She was dropped from production after the first season, but pressure from the fans persuaded the producers to bring her back for the last two seasons.
KITT
KITT is based on a 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, with a few extras you can say. The voiceover of the car was done by William Daniels. At that time the car had cost roughly $100,000 to build. The swerving red light in the car’s nose resembles that of a Cylon from Battlestar Galactica. This came after Larson wanted a “heartbeat” for the car.
