Arnold Schwarzenegger stars in this action-packed American film. He plays the role of Russian captain, Ivan Danko. James Belushi co-stars as a Chicago detective with the name of Art Ridzik. Red Heat was released in 1988 and became to be the first American film shoot to be allowed on the Red Square in Moscow. The movie grossed $34 million on an $8 million budget.

Arnold was the perfect actor for any Russian tough guy. With his famous Eastern European accent, he was the man for the role. In the film, Arnold is on the heels of a Georgian drug lord, and so brings him to Chicago. Ultimately he teams up with Art Ridzik, a cocky police detective of the Chicago police department.
