Conclusion

Although the show became more popular during the time, the reviews from critics remained negative. Writer Willa Paskin from Slate stated the series is:

“a hackneyed and saccharine family sitcom”

Isaac Feldberg wrote:

“it was archetypally average, hiding behind a ubiquitous laugh track and obnoxiously on-the-nose life lessons.”

To adhere to child labor laws, the Olson twins were rotated during filming, playing the role of Michelle.

During its lifetime the show was nominated for 23 awards and won 5 of them.

The show produced a spin-off called “Fuller House”. ABD also cross-marketed the show to release productions like Home Improvement, Family Matters, and Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper.
