The movie is popular for its soundtrack, with “Nothing’s gonna stop us” and “We built this city” by Starship. The first mentioned track reached number one on The Billboard 100 and UK Single Charts. It also received an Academy nomination for Best Original Song The soundtrack remains a hit till today.

Conclusion

Although an eighties cult flick, critics did not hold back, and the film was generally trashed with bad ratings. A Sequel was released in 1991.
