Wowser
Wowser is an anime cartoon that aired from 5 April 1988 TO 27 March 1989. It consisted of 52 two-part episodes over one season.

Can you remember the overweight round pet dog, with an appetite of an elephant, and a nemesis in the form of a street cat that is constantly on the lookout for trouible.
The cartoon is based on the Belgian cartoon strip named “Cubitis”. The plot revolves around the overweight lazy pet of Profesor Dinghy. An inspector gadget in his own right, he always comes up with inventions that have detrimental effects on, especially Wowser. The cartoon has hilarious scenes of the dog being subjected to scientific experiments that do not end well for him
To make things worse, a black and white street cat, Ratso, is always on the prowl to play a trick on Wowser. Much like a Tom and Jerry feud. Pretending to be his friend, Ratso most of the time sabotages the Professor’s inventions, with the unfortunate dog in the middle of the destruction.
The show was an anime creation from Telescreen Japan inc. The English version was released by Saban Entertainment, naming it Wowser from the original Japanese name “Domeru”
